God’s Design for Wives Teaching Series:
Teaching 1: Submission and Headship
God designed ALL of life. He spoke authority and submission into existence for all of Creation.
The specific relationships God created are constructed with this ebb and flow of leading and
following. IT IS WRITTEN. God knows how to best live life to honor him and to receive the
most benefit.
Teaching 2: The Transformation of Marriage
The husband and wife are directed to function as One Body the way God designed Adam and Eve to
do so in the Garden of Eden since sin has now been paid for by our Lord Jesus Christ and we are
redeemed from sin and its consequences.
Teaching 3: Practical Aspects of Being a Godly Wife
This is the third segment in the series on God’s Design for Wives. We are going to look at some
practical applications of how God designed marriage between the man and the woman. The right
practice for wives is based on the right doctrine of who we are in Christ in the administration of
Grace.
Teaching 5: The Hope of Christ’s Return
Included in the repairs of the sins of Mankind through Jesus Christ's death and resurrection is the resurrection of everyone in the end. This teaching elaborates and clarifies sections and points of 1st Corinthians 15.
Teaching 6: The Power of Words
God designed words to carry power. Our aim as New Creations in Christ is to renew our minds to our new identity. Being aware of the power that words have helps us to renew our minds to this truth. As we hold to the reality of our new man and consider it in our hearts, God changes us. Then our words reflect these changes. We are thinking wholeness and therefore speaking soundness and words that are healing, ministering grace and giving praise to God.
Teaching 7: Submission as Wives
Our submission to our husband is designed by God to be like our submission to our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Head of the One Body and we submit as members of his body, his flesh. Marriage was made for this one flesh relationship as seen with God making the woman out from Adam's literal body. This teaching looks at these 3 relationships as a foundation for a wife's submission to her husband.
Teaching 8: Examples of Submission
God gives us examples of wives who submitted themselves unto their own husband. In 1 Peter 3 we read how a wife can obey her husband without having fear because she knows God will take care of her. In this teaching we look at the examples of submission from Sarai, Naomi and Ruth.
