007 Redeemed FROM and INTO
Jesus Christ was appointed by God to redeem mankind. Our redemption through him is FROM and INTO: from what Adam's disobedience caused: weakness, sickness, and death, fears and anxieties, oppressions and depressions, lack in every way. In short, Adam's disobedience escorted mankind into separation from God, which includes separation from God's goodness and richness of life which he desires for us all. God has sent his Gospel to convey us out of everything that Adam's disobedience produced upon mankind. His Gospel is his power which also conveys us into the life which Jesus Christ came to make available: replacing weakness with strength, sickness and death with health and longevity, fears and anxieties, oppressions and depressions with faith and confidence. In short, Jesus Christ obedience brought us into unbroken partnership with God where God’s goodness and richness of life flow.
Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary:
REDEE'M, verb transitive [Latin redimo; red, re, and emo, to obtain or purchase.]
1. To purchase back; to ransom; to liberate or rescue from captivity or bondage, or from any obligation or liability to suffer or to be forfeited, by paying an equivalent; as, to redeem prisoners or captured goods; to redeem a pledge.
Now it is simply a matter of learning how to live in acceptance and continual awareness of our unbroken partnership with God. This is the life into which Jesus Christ redeemed us. God is in search through his servants for people who want to be team players in the redemption he has produced for us. These team players desire to continually grow in an understanding of our redemption and desire to help others in the same.
